Trailways - Cycle hire

The Old Railway line (Whitby to Scarborough) - A lovely walk / cycle on the flat (well nearly). You can have a pleasant walk / cycle to Whitby or Robin Hoods Bay which is about 3 miles, or cycle to Scarborough which is about 17 miles. There are several cafes between Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough. The old railway line follows the coast in places and gives you chance to see some of the most outstanding views.

Robin Hoods Bay (2 miles) - A very picturesque village with shops, pubs and cafes.

Whitby (3 miles) - A lovely historic seaside town. Whitby has a bit of everything, shops, beach, cafes, pubs, restaurants, abbey, museums, etc.

North Yorkshire Moors Railway
(11 miles) - A historic railway going through the Yorkshire Moors.

North Yorkshire National Park - There are lots of walks, drives, etc. Ideal for walkers, picnics and bird spotting.

Scarborough (17 miles) - A large seaside town.

Flamingo Land (25 miles) - Theme Park and Zoo.

Eden Camp (30 miles) - Modern History Theme Museum.

York (50 miles) - A lovely historic City, with everything you could want.
